Lost cityis located in the heart of La Sierra Nevada De Santa Marta, the highest mountain in the world close to the coast.
This place is a mystery; it is an Indigenous Reservation of the Tayrona culture.
It´s a wonderful place due to its landscape and unique characteristic of the land. In the native language the cityis called Teyuna.
It is a citybuilt with terraces, houses and ceremonial centers, ancient pathways, ladders and remnants of a sophisticated architecture and engineered in stone of an ancestral native culture which has
been preserved through the times by Koguis, Arhuacos and Wiwas descendants.
Departure at 9:00 a.m. from Santa Marta by camper up to the Mamey's region. Hiking along the Guachaca River which is the way to arrive to the first station. This base camp with accommodations has
hammocks to spend the night and natural pools to take a bath.
At 7: OO a.m. Hiking around the town of the indigenous Koguis - Arsarios and the Natural Park of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, hiking through indigenous houses and prints of pathway left by the
old indigenous of the region. Finally, and after a long stone terrace of two thousands steps and after crossing the Buritaca River, we will find La Ciudad Perdida. (Lost City)
At 9:00 a.m. tour of the park with its different thermic weather floors of the Tayronas. We will appreciate the ceremonial houses of the indigenous culture and the vegetation that forms a wonderful
scene with its prehistoric heritage. You can take a bath in the "well of youth" that according to the legend has miracle properties.
